Holsome Park Quality Meats is located in the centre of the South Hams near Kingsbridge and is a fully licensed meat cutting plant. Selling our own Pedigree British White beef, Jacob lamb and Gloucester Old Spots pork, as well as providing a cutting & packaging service for farmers and smallholders
All our animals are reared on natural diets which can include grass, turnips, hay, home-grown cereals (wheat and barley). This leads to the meat having a succulent full flavoured taste.
Holsome Park Quality Meats tries to promote the environment at every opportunity and the family farms take part in the Countryside Stewardship, Entry level and Higher level Environmental schemes Scheme which allows us to help support and maintain the beautiful countryside of the South Hams as well as encouraging the animal and bird populations. Working closely together with the RSPB and National Trust to encourage such birds as the Cirl Bunting to breed on over wintered stubbles and the National Trust to help conserve rare plants including the Royal Penny Mint.
Our meat is hung for up to three weeks to mature so you can enjoy the succulent full flavour and tenderness of quality meat, our full time butcher prepares our meat using traditional methods. We are inspected by the Meat Hygiene service on a regular basis therefore all our meat has traceability and quality is therefore assured.
